DAYTON, Tenn. - The county that was the site of the Scopes "Monkey Trial" over the teaching of evolution is asking lawmakers to amend state law so the county can charge homosexuals with crimes against nature.

The Rhea County commissioners approved the request 8-0 Tuesday.

Commissioner J.C. Fugate, who introduced the measure, also asked the county attorney to find a way to enact an ordinance banning homosexuals from living in the county.

"We need to keep them out of here," Fugate said.

And Democrats.

And Liberals.

And (let's be honest), all "different" people.

We have but one God and His name is George!

Also, am I to guess that Mary Cheney will not be campaigning for Dick in Dayton?

I think we should help them. We could come out with a good list of things they should look for when they are trying to investigate/persecute the homo sect.

Sculpting gel, bronzer, and eyebrow pluckers in a man's bathroom medicine cabinet might be a good indication.

If you go over for dinner and the wine pairs nicely with the meal, I would call the Sheriff.

On the lesbian side though, I suggest they stake out the Home Depot. That is where they gather. Those people...

Let's expect that the supreme court of the united states of america will declare this law illegal and will abolish it.

Anyway i am not an expert in US laws, but there must be a sort of regulation who prevent nuts to make such things.

I would say let Commissioner J.C. Fugate pass the law...

...IF I get to scan his computers' hard drives for gay porn first.

    I love the South.

Scates, how do you feel about your home state representing us in the south so well?

Don't law-makers have better things to do than intrude in someone's personal life??

Get off it. This idiocy is reprehensible, but the ****ing Bush shit is retarded. Is it that difficult to address the issue at hand and not derail your own thread?

A predictable response (read:backlash) from the gay marriages happening illegally all over the country.

Who didn't see this coming from somewhere in the nation? It's outrageous, but no moreso than the illegal origins of gay marriage.

Gay? Wanna get married? Then call your Rep and tell him to make it legal so that the law can be followed. Otherwise Western Civilization and this thread will spiral into chaos over gay marriage.

SPIRAL? Decline of western civilization? I thought Rock and Roll was supposed to do that 40 years ago.

Gay marriage hasn't been determined illegal in alot of places... yet.

And in fact Mass. has said it is legal.

How's that spiral workin' for you?

Soon this will also be reported as the city containing the "worst interior design and hair stylists" in the country.

This is so sad. If you can't have the 10 Commandments in a courthouse what makes them think they can legislate this fundamentalist crap?

    And neither is saying that...

...Truckers are all fat men with beer bellies

...Computer geeks are skinny guys with glasses and pocket protectors

...Cheerleaders are dumb blondes who always date football players

...or any other stereotypes in society. Face it, we stereotype people because that's the only way we can find "patterns" out of the massive diversity of society. Get over it.

On topic: Although I'm a "gay hater" (as labeled by some here at AI), it's ludicrous to pass any laws that ban gays from living somewhere. That just goes too far.

No outcry when public officials break the law and overstep their authority to marry same sex couples...

Like someone said, this is a backlash. Why the outcry, if it is OK with progays, it's OK for antigays, right?

If we are to be fair.

You might want to save this for when someone is actually using a stereotype as an insult or to degrade and individual or group. I'll be sitting there laughing when a gay man jokes around using a stereotype and you try to call him out without knowing.

Now, now....where are the people posting "gay hater!" is THIS thread? This is true bigotry in its most raw form.

Northgate: Nice job discrediting your own thread with inapproriate and unrelated attacks on Bush and conservatives.

Interesting definition of fairness, to be sure.

So, them stinking niggers want equal rights? We'll show 'em equal rights. Let's pass a law banning niggers living in our neighborhood!

If this happened in a muslim country, it would would be seen as a violation of basic human rights.
