iEatBrainz and iTunes tagging
Anybody else used this? It's basically the MusicBrainz software for Mac (still beta). I have no idea how long it's been available - I only stumbled upon it the other day.
So the first 2 tracks I've whacked into it, it's correctly identified. You beauty, thinks Chester. But then I put in a stack of others and it only found about 25 - 30 % of them (and 2 were wrong). In other words, pretty useless. Some tracks it will report that they're not in the database or there was an error when comparing with the DB. But most it gives no explanation. What gives?
In the reviews of previous versions, most comments seem to be about its stability and not about it's inability to find the info.
So has anybody used it with a reasonable degree of success? And, as it uses the sound of each song to try and identify it, then (if it worked properly) it should work with tracks imported off cassette or a burnt CD shouldn't it?
