Mail Question

How can I get Mail to save everything to my HD? Right now all my emails and everything are saved on the server that it gets it from I guess. I would really like it if it saved all messages (in and out) to a folder or directory on my HD, so that I could always keep them on the record I guess. Does that make sense? Thanks.

It depends on your mail account.

POP mail is normally "moved" from the server to you computer. Alternately, IMAP mail is held on the server, and mail is copied from the server to your computer.

This is a bit of a simplification, but you get the point!

Gargoyle is correct about the account types, but allow me to clarify.

Mail automatically places copies of all messages on your HD whether it's a POP or IMAP account. The messages can be found in home/library/mail (I think, I'm not on my computer right not so I'm not 100% sure). I'll check when I get back to it later and let you know.
