iPhoto user sharing

Sometime in the last 2 months, we have lost the ability to share iPhoto albums amongst our 3 users on the same G5. Before, I set up sharing in each of our ID's and we could read (not sure about writing) from each others albums as long as that album was not currently open in another user ID. In recent months I have loaded iPhoto 4 plus 4.1 update as well as 10.3.3 . When I called Applecare, they claim no knowledge of this sharing ability ever. They claim sharing was only designed for networks. I do know it was there and my family misses it. Any thoughts?

    Have you made sure that sharing is on? Maybe it was turned off when you updated.

    I have set up sharing under iPhoto preferenses same way I set them up last time. I'm only looking for read only access and am somewhat mystified by Applecare response that it was never there.

    Have you also turned on sharing in the System Preferences? This may be necessary. Maybe it was also a bug, not a feature.
