I didn't know that Citrix supported OS X. My company has us VPN using a Citrix client on windows. Is it likely that if I get a Citrix client for OS X that I can configure it to allow me to VPN in from OS X or will this require considerable help from the IT people?

Make sure you are using the latest version from here, version 60.30.323.
Also try trashing the Citrix ICA Client folder from ~/Library/Preferences and recreating your client connection using the Client Editor.
(Oh, and I'm moving this over to the Genius Bar...)
