Wireless Setup Help Plz

I have a powebook with airport extreme currently connected directly to cable modem.



I also have a linksys 802.11b router (BEFW11S4) and I can set it up with wired connection to my PB but when I unplug the cable and switch to wireless the router always get 169.xxx.xxx.xxx IP address



Anyone know a fix to this?

    Well, I'm not quite sure I understand your set up, but here goes: assuming that the cable modem is connected to the wireless router, you would have to log on to the router, set up a new password, turn on wireless broadcasting, and give the router a name. Click 'apply' and your good to go.
