Unless this isn't the real ad.

Not saying I don't think it is!

Great ad. Next time I pass a wall like that, in New York, I'm gonna be looking over my shoulder.

Yeah, but when did it become unhip to wash your hair?

I've seen that same wall of posters in ATL, and it's interesting the way Apple capitalizes on guerilla marketing. It's better than OBEY posters anyway.

Nothing earthshattering (are they ever?), but nice to see something new and different...real people, walking around a real world, etc. Nice departure from the sterile white room stuff from a few years ago and not as annoying as the dancing silhouettes.

Shows the iPod, in someone's hands, getting used a bit.

And yes...the greasy hair thing was cute about 3 years ago, the first two of three times you saw it. Buy some ****ing shampoo, people. You don't look as cool as you think you do, sporting that look.

The Queer Eye gang probably got hold of him, judging by the self-conscious hipster appearance. He just needs a big ugly $800 messenger bag (preferably in some obnoxious shade of green) and some vaguely swishy-looking shoes (maybe even a tassle of some sort) to complete the look.

    You go, boy!

Looks like somebody could use an attitude makeover...

    As if.

Looks like somebody could lighten up a bit and take things in the spirit.

Attitude is fine. Just commenting on the look. Sorry if you're a fan or something.

I watch the show quite a bit and some of their makeovers come out really nice...BUT a lot of them are pretty bad and don't seem to fit the person at all. That record guy, for instance.

Merely saying that puts me in line for an "attitude makeover"?

Those Queer Eye guys aren't infallible, or beyond criticism. Are they?

In any case, the iPod commercial is a nice departure. I just wish he'd buy a bottle of Suave or Prell.

I wonder if there will be a series? Several variations of this new look? Different scenarios and people?

Ug, I must have seen this ad 30 times today. Seems like Apple took out a huge buy on this in NYC.

among the few editing mistakes, this caught my eye. look at the bad key on the top of his head. noticeable over several frames of the video.

    still a great commercial though.

    ??? What?

The only thing 'wrong' with the ad is the "iPod + iTunes" at the end. It blends in too well on the noisy background.

He might just have too much product in his hair.
