Creative 6600 from PC to Mac?

I just made the switch. Biggest thing that pissed me off is this. I have a Soundblaster Audigy 2 on the PC and use the Creative 6600 speakers. There are 3 2.5mm plugs that go in fine in the PC to the Audigy 2. Now I get the G5 and saw that it has 5.1 capability. Little did I know that it only has 1 2.5mm jack in the back. WTF! So how can I continue to use my 6600 speakers with my G5. I thought of 2 ways:

1) Buy the Creative DDTS-100 decoder ($150)

2) Throw the 6600 speakers ($120) away and spend $200+ on new speakers with optical capabilities.

Both options are not even close to what I want to do. Is there a cheaper/less wasteful way of solving this?

TIA

Could get a m-audio revolution for analog 5.1, $100 or so. Probably getting a decoder may be better since you won't have to worry about drivers (G5 optical is handled by Apple). Might be cheaper decoders out there rather than the Creative one.
