I mean, how many times in the past couple of weeks have people said "I can't wait! I will be counting the days!"

I don't think they're specifically targetting anyone; You're reading into it too much. Anyone who's excited about a future event tends to count exactly how long it will be until the actual event.

Not my problem that you read it. Hell, the title was simple and straightforward enough that you should have avoided it if it bothered you.
