Help!

Hi, I have been an Apple user for less than a year.

I am in trouble:

I have written many school assignments in my iBook G3 this year, but during my latest assignment I have bumped into a devastating problem.

I wrote the latest assignment as usual in appleworks (I think it is called that) it was on 12 pages. I saved it about once every half page written. Then I closed it, and when I opened it again it is almost totally gone - Only the first page is left (Page 1: Table of contents)

The final exams are in a few days, and I likely be fined to pay back a lot from a fund I have been granted to pay for rent and food, if I flunk the course.

Now, my roomate had the same problem as me once, on her PC. I showed my roomate how to use the "Restore" utility that can be used to restore the contents of the harddrive as they were at various previous dates.

I couldn't find any "Restore" utility on my iBook, and I also searched the "Autosaved" folder, which unfortunately only had autosaves of a fraction of my previous text documents, but not of the one I needed.

Is there a way to restore my text document on my iBook?
