Original iMac & original iPod

Does anybody know of a way to connect an original (FireWire only) iPod to an original (no FireWire) iMac.

Is there a wee adapter that you can buy? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Cheers!

yes... google Harmoni iMac Processor upgrade...

it will put a 500 MHz G3 and a firewire port...

    I'm holding out for a G4 tho...

you MIGHT be able to get a 3G iPod to work via USB but you are pretty much SOL with the original iPod unless you want to drop another $400 on that processor upgrade...

At $300 for a 500Mhz G3 these are not a very good value in my opinion.

You are still going to have an old iMac with a 15" screen, a tiny hard drive, an out of date video card, a slow CD drive with no burn or DVD ability, and a slow system bus.

Compare that do a new eMac for $799:

    1.25GHz PowerPC G4

    256MB DDR333 SDRAM

    40GB Ultra ATA drive

    Combo drive

Here's an older model, refurbished for only $599:

(appears to be back ordered tho)

    just my 2¢
