dvd movie shakes when played

I exported a final cut express movie with stills created from the footage into iDVD4. When the dvd was done burning, and I played it on my TV, the still images vibrate and shake on the screen. It does not do this when watching it on final cut express. Is this just a problem with encoding? what is my best option to correct this? Thanks.

This is because a TV image is interlaced. When you pull a still frame from a video clip, you are only getting one field of video (Two fields make up one frame). What you need to do is use the 'de-interlacer' filter in Final Cut Express. This will get rid of the jitter since the missing field will be created by the filter.

thanks a bunch. It is kind of weird using FCE from iMovie. iMovie makes it so easy to do things , but FCE you have complete control. It is almost taking a step backwards sometimes. That is something new to know. Awesome.
