iphoto printing 8x10

When I print from iPhoto requesting an 8x10, the resulting print comes out as 7.5 x 10. I am using an HP PSC750. Specs for this printer show a min left/right margin as .25 in. I have tried both standard 8x10 and full page no margins with the same result. Any clues as to how to print a full 8x10 image?

    If your photo prints at 7.5 x 10, it is because the aspect ratio is 3:4. You need an aspect ratio of 4:5 to get an 8 x 10 image. That will require cropping in the vertical dimension. It is better that you do that manually rather than hoping that a computer program gets it right.
