Quicktime and BitTorrent
After reading some of threads regarding Quicktime 7, I had a thought about a feature I'd like to see. Right now it is very bandwidth intensive to deliver large media files over the web. BitTorrent is a very cool solution to this issue as it spreads the download over all requests and has the end users share teh parts, creating a sort of p2p solution. What if Apple incorporated this tech right into the Quicktime player, negating the need for a separate web plug in? Small outfits could afford to provide large media files without the configuration worries of an additional technology.
