Tiger Sync Engine - adding functionality

We know that Tiger will have sync technology built in, and the SDK was distibuted on the preview DVD given away at WWDC. What I'd like to know is, will this enable developers to produce a method to sync new devices with the Mac? I'd love to be able to sync my Nokia Series 40 phone with my address book, for example, but currently, iSync only supports Nokia Series 60 phones.

Any thoughts?

Thanks,

Dave.

I think the SDK is used to produce software that can be used with the sync capability. For example, OmniGroup could add Omniweb Bookmark syncing to sync your bookmarks (like Safari) using the sync technology.

The real question is... is the Tiger sync engine capable of syncing multiple computers without using .Mac?

Would be nice if they added folder sync from OS 9.
