ATA Raid Cards
Does anyone know if you can have more than 1 ATA Raid card in a mac and say use it as 4 Hard Drives through Raid? I read somewhere that the 4 Channel Raid card's dont actually perform as well as just putting on 2 drives. I am basiclly looking for alot of fast storage. Not at the price of scsi though!! Also, do these cards allow booting ? I was told that all raid cards for mac use the same controller, therefore there would be a conflict in the software if I tried to stripe 4 drives off of 2 controllers. Any truth to this?
