i feel like a total n00b but can someone tell me how i can control the actions performed when you connect a digital camera? at the very least i want to stop iphoto from opening! such a slow piece of bloatware.
If you want to change what happens on camera connection:
Start Image Capture application>go to prefs>click camera tab>choose app of your choice.
As for iPhoto being bloatware... are you using version 4? Version 2 was a bit of a dog but version 4 is pretty much upto scratch. I'm accessing about four thousand pics in iPhoto and the only delay is on startup when it's getting all the thumbnail images. Other than that most people are pretty impressed with it.
