I have a database on a windows PC that I run with Treepad. I want to transfer it on my Mac, but I can't find an application that's fairly easy to use to do that.

Anyone can help?

Thanks

".CSV" just means "comma-separated values." It's a plain-old text file, with each line being a new database record and the entries of each record separated by commas. You could open it in TextEdit (or BBEdit, or SubEthaEdit...) if you want to see the values and maybe edit them. Excel will obviously open them, too, and will nicely separate the values into cells. I imagine you could figure out how to import the data into Address Book or Palm Desktop if you really wanted to.

For database try File Maker Pro.

.csv files can be opened by practically anything that uses data in arrays.

Spreadsheets, graphing software, databases and such.

For simple inspection text editors like Tex-Edit Plus work fine.

Yes, Excel will work, but why bother with an Msoft product. Instead, get NeoOffice/J. It's a complete office suite and it's free! I use it everyday in my job. Works for me. I import CVS files to it every week from a Windows based database app.
