The udpate is buggy and in typical Apple fashion, it has been pulled without any comment. Read the Mac Central article.

They put it back up again. Only now it's version 4.0.3.

when I dled .2 it made my iphoto run really really slowly... slow startup and slow shutdown, and slow photo browsing. the .3 fixed it and now it runs as well as it did before...

I updated to the 4.0.2 and didn't really notice any difference with my 3k photos. Then updated and still nothing.. works just as well.
