Need help upgrading ClassicOS

I just bought an original iMac from a friend (233Mhz G3). Right now it has MacOS 8.1 installed on it. I have a copy of Mac OS 9.1 but It won't boot form the CD, and when I try to run "Install Mac OS 9.1" it simply says "This program cannot run on your computer".



Any suggestions?

    The problem might be with your disk. Make sure that it is not a upgrade disk to go from 9.0 to 9.1. We still have a bondi and it is running 9.2.
