Quesiton on FireWire 800, how come i don't see this port ever being put into use? i was wondering if maybe all products with FireWire can use FireWire 800 too and all i have to buy is the cable? but i think i'm wrong there, what products would use the FireWire 800?

    There are plenty of products that use firewire 800, they are typically more expensive so mostly "Pro" people use them. In fact, I was just considering buying a RAID-5 product that has Firewire 800.



    There is a cable/adapter that will allow you to use your firewire 800 port with firewire 400 devices, but it will run at 400 speeds.
