Airport w/other wireless routers

I have an existing wireless network whose range I would like to extend. Are there any 3rd party (i.e. linksys, d-link) routers, access points, or range extenders that anyone's had success with?



My set up is: cable modem to linksys 4-port router. iMac, PC, and Airport base station connected to router. A powerbook with airport card. Base station has no ext. antenna port.

    If you use an Airport base stations, why don't you try Airport Express, it works as a range extender.

    Love to.... but it's $129, whereas a basic wireless router or access point runs between $60 - $80.
