Sharing PowerBook and Thinkpad - Advice Needed

I would appreciate any help/advice on setting up my work configuration.

I will be using my Powerbook and IBM Thinkpad laptops with docking stations and would like to share a common keyboard/mouse along with a Apple 23" monitor. I just recently saw the IOGEAR KVM Switch and was curious if anyone is using this with an Apple Monitor or is it even possible - it says the IOGEAR needs a VGA connection. Do you lose any video quality going from DVI to VGA? Am I better off just getting a standard PC (VGA) monitor to share? Curious to hear what others are doing in a shared environment for productive work. Thanks.....

jeagen: Assuming that your Thinkpad (or its dock) has DVI-out, just make sure that any KVM switch that you buy supports DVI instead of VGA. (DVI is the interface of the new Apple displays. Don't even think about converting VGA to DVI. A VGA-to-DVI converter box is a $300 toy.) I understand there are several models around.

If neither your Thinkpad nor its dock support DVI-out, you're realistically better off skipping the Apple displays.
