hi All,

when i bought my 12" PB with DVD burner and i installed

10.3 from the installation DVDs iDVD was not among

that apps. i thought one had to pay for it, so was

considering iDVD vs Toast. now it has been suggested

to me that iDVD is actually included in the Mac OS X?

can anybody confirm this and suggest how to correct

for this the easiest.

cheerio,

adirks.

Only when you buy an new mac with OS 10.3 installed iDVD is included (the whole iLife Packeage is included).

I don't understand why you had to install 10.3?

    Wasn't OS 10.3 already installed?

look in your software install CDs (dvd?) that came with your powerbook

iDVD should be on them and there should be an option to install it...

    hi,

thanks for the replies. i installed 10.3 myself,

i like to have 2 partitions and do a clean install

    myself.

i did open the install DVD (use Pacifist for that)

and there is no iDVD among the iTunes, iPhoto, iMovie

in that directory. should i be looking somewhere

    else?

is it time to email Apple?

    thanks,

    arno.

On your HD under Programs/Utilities should be something like software restore, that is going to install the missing programs.

This is silly isn't it? iDVD should be right there where every iapp is located on the instalerl DVD, no?

I found iDVD on my old Jaguar DVD when i performed a search for Packages.

Make sure you checked "invisible items" when you do so.
