New SuperDrive?

When will it be out with Specs that will supercede the NEC ND-3500A, Pioneer DVR-108, and Plextor PX-712A & PX-712SA? Dual-layered discs is a must and speeds must be increased. Who supplied Apple with their drives before? Any ideas as to when it may be announced?
