Are Dual G5's CPU upgradeable?

I know there are no g5 upgrades at the moment.

OK, but Im so tempted to buy the new iMac, but I already have 2 screens on my desk, so I think I might get a dual 1.8.

I was going to get the next revision, hopefully in Jan/Feb, but I sooo hate my PC, I want a mac back.

This leaves issues.

The 'cheap' motherboard on the 1.8's, imminent release of Dual Core CPU's meaning I'd get twice for my money, and knowing that 2.5GHZ requires WaterCooling.

Does anyone know, if the G5's are on a daughtercard? They're not soldered to the motherboard right?

Does anyone know (if thats the word) if sonnet etc are preparing G5 upgrades?

Will a 970DualCore be pin compatible with a 970FX? Will this matter if whole daughterbopard is replaced?

Do the thermal sensors only work in the machine they ship in?

Anything else you can think of?

Ta.

i know how you feel i want to change but the money i have to change with is under close inspection from the parental units and spending it would be like sining a, "disown you" silent contract.
