iMac G5 multi-monitor

Strange question to ask, and probably difficult to answer since no-one has one yet, but I'm thinking of buying an iMac G5 instead of the eMac I was going for, since for an extra £300 I get a computer with about twice the speed. My question is this;

"Since the eMac 1.25GHz has a shitty ATI 9200, but with an applescript firmware update, will let you dual-monitor (not just mirror), will the iMac G5 support multi-monitor (proper spanning not just mirroring) either by default or with another firmware hack."

Hope someone knows the answer to this, since I need multi-monitor, can't afford a powermac, and I'd prefer to get the iMac rather than get an eMac just because I can multi-monitor.

I think you'll have to wait until someone tries to hack it. My guess is that it can be done, but all info on Apple's website doesn't mention anything about spanning, while it does mention all sorts of info about mirroring.
