Help with Info from System Profiler

I recently replaced the slot loading CD-Rom drive in my iMac with a slot loading 6xDVD/24xCD-Rom drive. Out of curiosity, I booted in MacOS 9.2 and checked the Apple System Profiler. Along with the information for the DVD-Rom, it says "Burning Supported". What does this mean, as this is not supposed to be a write/re-writable drive.

Either it has 24x burning instead of just CD-Rom. Or something else is wrong.
