Gawd. /me looks at his 512 so-dimm. /me looks at this useless set of mini screwdrivers. Why? Did Apple have to use the wierdest screws ever? Why not just use tabs? Have any of you done a ram install on an iBook- what size screwdriver am I going to need to buy?

I can't take 128 much longer...

Yeah, it's a Phillips # 0. I got mine in a small screwdriver set at Home Depot.

Yep jewellers screwdrivers (get a good quality set - those buggers are in tight - may damage a lesser set).

AND DON'T DROP THE SCREWS INTO THE CASE!!!!

That is a whole world of pain...

The screwdriver that came on my little swiss army knife works perfectly for those things. And the tip is just a tad magnetized to help me and my clumsy fingers out.

Argh. /me looks at this new #0 Phillips. /me still looks at his uninstalled 512 so-dimm.

Why must the screws be soooo shallow? The 0 has the right size points, but is too sharp... I don't have a file... I think I'm going to use the concrete to flatten the tip...

I've done that once, though I did eventually get it out.

Shaking an iBook around to get out a screw is one thing, holding a fourty pound iMac over your head via creaking handles is quite another.

try adding a HD. you take dozens of those bastards out. i only had one extra when i was done.

any normal computer screwdriver set should have what you need. you can pick up a nice set at radioshack for like $10
