This is very old but it made me feel much more comfortable going from a PC beast to the iMac 20" 1.8 G5....

    It would be nice if it showed some more modern PC processors.

    yeah true...



    but i'm going from an AMD3000+ Barton with a gig of ram.. so my fear was that the single-proc G5 would be slower.



    i'm more than happy with teh speed and power of my current PC for WHAT I DO... that said, the photosohp comparison was the official selling point. (still haven't sold my computer. probably forced to eBay individual parts.)

    The AMD64 in particular, since it's the G5's only real competitor.

    Lookin' good! I really didn't expect the G5 to come out on top.



    I wonder whether it's even better in Photoshop CS.

    From the results I've seen so far Photoshop CS appears to be a little slower than Photoshop 7 on the PS7bench.
