Gamepad Woes
tis almost the season to be jolly and i reckon that the way to be jolly is to be blasting away bad guys in unreal tournament!
so i bought myself a gamepad to help those guys to a quicker death.
i got a generic usb gamepad that didn't say it supported macosX. there was a more expensive one that had the macosX support logo on the box but i thought that it didn't matter with osX - just plug it in and blaze away.
well not so - it kinda works in that i can make things happen on screen using the gamepad in a utility call gamepad companion but does it work in a game - NO! i also got usb contoller tester and that doesn't register at all that there's a gamepad hooked in.
Should i have bought the more expensive macosX certified gamepad or am i just being stupid here and doing something wrong. i mean my old joystick works, why can't this gamepad.
any suggestions would be most helpful - thanks for reading my rant.
oh and i'm working on a 15" powerbook 800 second revision, if you need that info.
