Deleting music

I have noticed that when downloading music it is stored in my music folder, but is then also stored in my iTunes folder, is one song taking up twice as much space as it should? And is it possible to delete it from iTunes and from the music folder at the same time?

you should delete the songs from your download folder, because itunes organizes it all for you
