are powermacs bullet-proof?

I remember reading this a long time ago, but i might have imagined it. Does anybody know if they ever were/still are? thanks

    they aren't and never were. they use polycarbonate plastic which is also what bullet proof glass is made out of apparantly but that does not make them bulletproof.



    so, while strong, if you shot at it, it would cause serious damage

    I believe the toilet seat iBooks where, It also might have just been a statement sence they where built for students something like it takes more than a bullet to stop our toilet seat.

    nah. the dual usb iBook is made from polycarbonate, which is also the material they use for bulletproof glass.

    the glass which was bulletproof was apparently 1.9 cm thick. the ibook's shell is only about 2-3 mm. think.

    If Apple doesnt get these Powermacs to competitive levels, I am about ready to shoot one...ARG!!!
