Postfix on Jaguar

Following a re-installation of Jaguar, I am trying to get Postfix running again, using the instructions found here.

I had previously tried to get Sendmail to work, using the instructions found here. That installation failed, so I turned to Postfix, which had worked for me before.

The Postfix installation failed the first time I tried it, but I tried again after realizing that I needed to create the aliases database. The second installation went fine. At least, no error messages came up.

But I can't send mail. I'm trying to send out a multipart document I hand-coded. Last week, before the re-installation, this same document went out just fine, using the same Postfix installation process I am using now. But when I try to send it out now, I get this:

postdrop: warning: stdin: illegal length 28672, record type 78

postdrop: fatal: uid=501: malformed input

sendmail: fatal: rstauffer(501): error writing queue file: Broken pipe

I'm not actually very Unix-skilled. I know enough to follow instructions when people give them to me, but not much more than that. Any advice?
