Shipping problems?

I recently ordred a new powerboo/1ghz/superdrive through the Student ADC program. For a few weeks now, on my order status page it has been saying "being assembled". Last week I got a call from apple checking up with me to see if there was anything they could do for me, and they told me that I should recieve my laptop around December 14th. However, I checked my order status this morning, and it doesn't say being assembled, but that my order is being reviewed again. That is a step backwards. Does this happen regularly? What could it mean, problems with the ADC order?

    I doubt it has anything to do with it being an ADC order. The demand for their new PB has been nothing short of phenomenal. Give them a call and see what they say. L8r

    I received a custom-configured GHz PB in about 10 days (ordered around 11/18) . I opted to go without the superdrive and reduced the HD to 40GB.

    If you have no luck with the Apple Student Developer route, I would suggest you try:

    <a href="http://www.macsupportstore.com/"; target="_blank">http://www.macsupportstore.com/</a>;

    They have the best prices of any authorized reseller out there. I got the GHz PB for $2501. Because they're only in NY, I avoided sales tax. Between tax and the $100 cost of membership to ADC, this route is comparable in cost to ADC. The best part is that it's fast, and there's no worries the order might not pan out.

    The powerbook is amazing. I'm in love...

    I have no clue why they do the password thing. I saw the site posted on dealsontheweb.com and they posted a user/pass. I just moved to the new Ti and I don't have the user/pass in here, so I can't even get back in to their store any more.

    They are reachable via telephone: 1-888-TRY-JUMP

    Based on my experience, they're legit and very professional. I had questions which I sent via email and they were answered almost immediately. They didn't charge my credit card until the order had shipped, and I was provided with tracking information via email. They were very flexible with shipping options (overnight, 2 day or 3-5 day) allowing me to change my shipping level over the phone.

    The powerbook I received was exactly to specs and flawless. Not a single dead pixel.
