Just A Thought

You know how they have those Barnes and Nobles and other places with their computer servers or whatever with music stored on them so you can sample them, and you can listen to stuff, as long as you have a connection there? That would be a great idea for CD inserts.

People aren't going to want them on their computer or their iPod for the picture image would take up too much space, but if they worked like the GraceNotes CDDB thing where it went out online and got all the contents of the CD insert for you to have, that would be really cool.

Or am I too late? Do they already have something like that. iTunes could do that. Hell... it's owned by the same company that just came out with the new servers.

That'd be cool. Maybe.

A Compact Disc. It was replacing the tape, said to listen to for a hundred years before degradation... but then later replaced by files that represent music that are ran on "computers."

My understanding is that one can put all one's music on an iPod and not need these "CDs" you speak of.
