G4 and large capacity hard drive

i just bought a G4 dual 1GHz, my first mac, and was wondering before i buy extra internal hard drives if it supports the larger capacity IDE drives (such as 160GB+)??? thanks!

okay, i found out from another site, the larger capacity drives only work on the ATA100 bus, not on the ATA66 bus (they will be usable but not at full capacity).



does anyone have a good link to performance tests of external firewire hard drives?
