Does the Mac Mini support Core Image, or not? I read contradicting stuff! Thanks!
At this moment, no one really knows for sure (except maybe Apple). It's GPU wasn't in the list of CoreImage supported cards that used to be up on Apple's website, but now there is no list at all.
The new info. on Apple's site seems to suggest that anything that CoreImage does that isn't supported by a machine's GPU will be done by the CPU. That means that any CoreImage task not supported by the GPU will take longer to perform. I'm assuming that CoreVideo will work in the same way, but here anything that has to be done by the CPU may not be do-able in real-time, kind of defeating the point of CoreVideo.
