Bluetooth and iMac G5
Hi. I'm thinking about buying a 17" iMac. Does the bluetooth module have to be installed in a BTO? You can't add that later? I wanted to order from Amazon.com because it is a better price, but I'm not sure if I can live without ever having bluetooth (yes, I can live without it, but you know what I mean).

but the reality isn't quite as nice as my imagination
(like always
I got it to auto sync my Sony-Ericsson P800 phone
to the mac. It syncs, but I had to do it 3 or 4 times
before it did it without error messages popping up.
Plus - I thought that it would automatically sync.
Maybe I just don't know enough about how to set
it up, but I have to press 'ok' on the phone to
allow the transfer.
Anyone know how to set up an automatic sync, and
to set up some kind of "trusted hosts" list for the
phone?
Also - I would have to try the wireless keyboard and
mouse before buying. My wireless mouse on the PC
would go to sleep a lot, and you would have to spend
5 or 10 seconds wiggling it before it woke up.
I have the Apple bluetooth keyboard and mouse, I've never noticed any sort of wakeup behaviour from the keyboard but there is a very small delay from the mouse if you've not moved it for a few minutes, the delay is only around 1/2 second at most.
I'm not sure about auto sync with a cellphone, I do mine manually but I do know that the sony ericsson P800 seems to be a problem model for bluetooth, maybe that's where the trouble syncing comes from? I've got a K700 and it always connects first time, my friend has a P800 and it's always causing him grief, on windows and mac.
