I've read about these things. They must have something like that for the notebooks. I'll hunt around.

iTrip sucks... its nice that you dont need a battey... BUT... you cant charge your iPod and listen to it at the same time with this design.... not a good idea.... a cassette adapter has it beead b/c you dont need a battery and you can charge your iPod while listening...

Not true Paul. The device rotates to allow a charger to go in the FireWire port. iTrip is powered by the Remote connecter around the headphone jack.

That one factor wouldn't make it "suck" anyway...

has anyone actually ordered one of these things yet? I bought a cheap FM transmitter and I don't even use it because the dial is soooo overly sensitive its a waste of time. I'm wondering how good this thing works.

Griffin might be getting a lot of my money this year- I kinda wouldn't mind an iCurve either- anyone got one?

I don't like the iCurve. I'm a "monitor low" computer user. Anything that makes it higher is bad for me.

But this looks cool. I'm not sure what I'd use it for but it would rock next to my PiBook

Man that PowerMate (above) is pretty cool. I play with it everytime I'm in the Apple Store (it's basically a knob that you can assign functions to in respective apps, like volume, zoom, scroll, etc.).

As for the iTrip, I don't think they're shipping for at least a month (probably more). The iTrip is suppose to be different from others because (1) it can broadcast on more than 100 frequencies and (2) you assign a frequency through the iPod interface.

I've never seen a little FM transmitter that I like, but Griffin makes good stuff, and I'm really anxious to see if this one performs as promised.

Has anyone actually used an iTrip?

I am especially interested to hear about iTripping in a car because I would love to replace my CDs with a tiny iPod.

    Thanks for any info.
