Apple LCD TEST: Please perform if you have one

Powerbook or LCD users:



In the menu, does the "i" in "File" appear a bit thicker than the "i" in "Edit", and the "l" in "File" appear a bit thicker than the "l" in "Help"? You have to look really close at the screen.



This is the case on my Powerbook and Apple Cinema screens, running OS 10.2.1 with the Radeon 9000 Pro.



Unless you all see it the same way, I may have a bad card.



Please post your findings and state your equiptment, card and OS.

    That's how it is on my non-Apple LCD.

    not on my 22" inch ACD.



    however, the when compating the "F" in file with the "E" in Edit, it look s lik \\e the "E" is darker than the "F".

    It's the same for me (Apple Studio display, Radeon 7500, OS X 10.2.3) although it's barely noticeable. I'm sure it's not a fault with your graphics card. On a CRT I expect you wouldn't notice it at all due to the lack of sharpness.

    looks like that on my Ti550. well, doesn't disturb me though.overall quality is brilliant.





    but i worked on a 23'' last month. that one kicks ass. if i only had the cash...

    looks like that on my 800 tibook too. Are you sure this is a problem? What's werid is, they're still different sizes if you zoom in.

    Heh.... that's funny. I never noticed it before. In Safari on a 15" LCD iMac (GeForce2MX), the i in File, View, and Window is thick. In Edit, and History, it's thin.



    Darn you for pointing it out. Now that I notice it, it kinda bugs me

    The "i'"s in "File," "View," AND "Window" appear bigger than the ones in "Edit" AND "History." Running 10.2.3... <img src="graemlins/bugeye.gif" border="0" alt="[Skeptical]" />
