MIT developing $100 laptops for children

Just read a really interesting article off the CNN website. I think MIT and their dream of building $100 laptops for children in less fortunate countries is a brilliant idea. I hope Apple could one day do something just as commendable.

    What's strange is that a study in the US showed that the more a kid used a computer the worse they did in school.

    I think it depends what it is used for, if the kids play games all the time, or mindlessly surf pointless websites, then yes it is harmfull, but it can be good too, like TV, radio, the automobile, or any thing else that mankind has invented, it is a double edged sward, it can do great good or great harm.
