Best humanitarian aid organization?

For a project I am planning I need to know what the best humanitarian aid organization around is.



It have to operate in Africa and the administration overhead has to be as small as possible. And it need not to be religious founded.



I have my eyes set on Doctors without Borders. Any other suggestions?

    They, medecins sans frontiers, are my favourites to.

    I actually recently have been feeling very "useless" and would like to do a week or two of humanitarian aid. While I would very much like to help as much as I can, I dont necessarily want to go to a leper colony or dark africa and take a billion shots and risk getting some tropical disease (again).



    Im looking more at something along the lines of help building a school in Thailand type of thing.



    Suggestions? Red Cross and MSF sound good too and I'll look at em.
