database app

Anyone know of a good database application? I would prefer shareware or freeware. I need to catalog magazine issues and have entries for each month for many years. I'd like to be able to list a highlight of articles in each issue, and it would be nice to have it all searchable.

Unless you want to become a developer, FileMaker Pro is the best solution out there.

Maybe this application will work for you ? I haven't used it myself, but it has received pretty good reviews:

If you are going to go that route, why not sugest the one with some panace: Delicious Library? But I don't think that either of these product will do the job asked for.

Yep, that was the one I was trying to suggest... Did a search for "Library" on versiontracker, and thought the name sounded familiar...
