I was going to install iPhoto 5.0.1 today and it tells me it can't find iPhoto. I have it in /Applications so i thought it would be no problem. And the 5.0.2 installer doesn't find it either (i think i need 5.0.1 to install 5.0.2). How can i make the installers find my iPhoto?

Sorry, have to ask the obvious. Have you got iPhoto 5 or iPhoto 4? The updates only work for version 5.

    I have iPhoto 5.

This is exactly what the installer says for the 5.0.2 update:

iPhotoUpdate502 cannot be installed on this computer.

An eligible iPhoto application could not be found in /Applications.

    This is the 5.0.1 update:

iPhotoUpdate501 cannot be installed on this computer.

Neither iPhoto 5.0 nor iPhoto 5.0.1 could not be found in /Applications.

In that case, I don't know. But I do know that you should be able to go from 5.0.0 straight to 5.0.2 without going by 5.0.1. I just did that recently myself.

Try repairing permissions would be the usual advice, but I really have no idea. Sorry. Good luck!

No luck. Maybe i'll just stay at 5.0.0. Is this okay?
