Can anybody recommend a good benchmark suite?
I'm wanting to benchmark my machine, as I'm curious to see just what difference the various 'upgrades' make to the machines actual performance.
I'm planning on testing 512MB, 1GB, 2GB, 3GB and 4GB of memory; GeForce FX 5200 Ultra 64MB and GeForce 6800 Ultra 256MB graphics cards; Seagate Barracuda 7200.7, WD Black Caviar and WD Raptor RAID 0 hard disk drives.
I think it'll be interesting to see just how much more bang you get for your buck.
I used Xbench in the past, but it seems to get a bad rep. on these boards so I'm open to suggestions...
