x800 vs 6800ddl (considering future console GPUS)

It seems the top of the line nvidia and ati GPU's for mac aint too different from eachother in terms of gaming performance.



Though considering that both the xbox and new nintendo (not sure bout ps3) are using ATI cards- is it likely the x800 will perform better in the long run?



Am asking as am about to order a powermac, and am not sure if its worth going out of my way for an x800, rather then the simple 6800ultraddl BTO option.

    ATI cards are known for their ability to run AA and AF at higher resolutions than nVidia and maintain good FPS. If you like all the eye candy that AA and AF can offer (which i do ) then get the ATI. I have an X800XT Voltmodded in my PC and its great. It will play any game on full settings.

    the x800xt is smaller than the 6800 as well



    ps. rumors abound that x850xt for mac is coming out soonish
