    NEVAAAAAHHH!!!!

well, probably Q3 2002. no one should ever release a mac version of a game within 6 months of the PC version... <img src="graemlins/bugeye.gif" border="0" alt="[Skeptical]" />

Last Bungie interview I heard was on the Mac Show Live mid-August, at that point the official line was that it would be released for Macintosh and Windows PC within 6-9 months after the X-Box release, there would be no Linux release and we can expect that HALO will be the last release for any non X-Box platform from Bungie, including Windows PCs. I was pretty upset when he said that, he made it sound like he was lazy. His reason was that as a group Bungie really enjoyed getting to program for such a compact platform rather than having to rework and tweak their work for diverse hardware ... sigh ...

That is complete and utter bullshit. I will never, I repeat, NEVER, support Microsoft in any way. If I have to use a Microsoft product I refuse to pay money for it, and I only use their products when I absolutely have to. My dad bought a Microsoft Encarta dictionary... I won't even touch the thing.

*sigh* Microsoft killed something great, again. Bungie was one of the few companies whose games I actually enjoy.

    Oh yeah, read the sig.

I was the same way. I never owned a Microsoft Product and only used Windows when I had to at work. Then they I won the XBox.

Trust me when I say that Halo is awesome.

The Mac/PC versions will be better than the XBox version because you can play over the internet on the Mac and PC, and not on the XBox without making a VPN ethernet bridge (which needless to say, is tough).

Remember the first Macworld demo a few years ago?

I agree with you completley... however I am writing this from a windows box with Internet Explorer... damn the hypocrasy...

I fear that Bungie is officially dead [(c) 2000 General Halo thread, AI]. MS has gotten their fangs into them and wont let go.

Mind you, a lot of people like the xBox (Personally I was hyped to hell, but as soon as I played it I thought that it was crap. Halo is the only good game for it, and the controls are awful), but I really cant see it competing with the PS2 and GC all that well.
