tiger on a old ibook

i have this G3 500 mhz ibook with 256 mb of ram that i want to put tiger on.. will that make it really slow and i should just stick with panther on it or go ahead and put tiger on it? i just use it to do like internet stuff and email and chat around the house, nothing to powerful- thats what my imac is for.

    my tiger 10.4.1 fresh install on my iBook g4 933mhz 256mb ram is holding up very well and dare i say, yes, i dare, faster than panther.



    the mail.app in tiger is much much better than panther IMHO

    Tiger runs just fine on my 466 G3 iBook.
