3D Studio Max coming to OSX

As is said, that would be amazing seeing that they are so windows-centric.



I would think this would be the last bastion to get people to REALLY consider the Mac for 3D. It would still take years before we will see how well Apple is doing in the 3D world, but this would certainly help.



It would also let us make 3D characters and modelling for games (FINALLY!).

    Discreet acquired Cleaner from Terran, I'm not sure sure about combustion, but I believe that was done in house.



    I have some friends working there, and will try to check on the validity of this rumor.



    3DSMax for OS X would be huge.



    But seeing as there isn't even a Linux/IRIX version of it out yet, I wouldn't hold your breath.



    if anything, they would wait to see how well Maya fairs before investing resources into such a huge task.

    After 3D Max....the only one left is SoftImage XSI

    This would be much bigger news than Maya simply because of its price and (therefore) ubiquity.



    Back in the day, it was Form Z on Macs, 3D Max (late to the game) on Windows in our school labs.
